(June 30) - July 4, 2006 - FESTIVAL - Belton: 82nd Annual 4th of July Celebration & PRCA Rodeo. Since the 1850's folks from all over Central Texas have been coming to Belton to celebrate the 4th of July. This week-long celebration will feature one of Texas's Top Ten Parades, the Festival on Nolan Creek, a carnival, Texas Old Time Fiddlers' Contest, Patriotic Program, Kick-off Bar-B-Q, Cowboy Breakfast with the rodeo being the highlight of the celebration. July 4, 2006 - OTHER EVENT - Arlington: 41st Annual 4th of July Parade. Organized by the Arlington 4th of July Association, this parade has become one of the largest in Texas. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a true, old-fashioned community parade. With over 150 entries that include marching bands to exotic automobiles, military color guards to clowns, and dignitaries to unique presentations, the theme of what Independence Day is all about is evident.
