Euro-American settlers of the American West enjoyed fine things as much as friends and relatives living in more settled parts of the United States. April 2-3, 2005 - OTHER EVENT - Salado: 4th Annual Wildflower Art Show. The Salado Chamber of Commerce will once again play host to artists and craftspeople from across the state. The Art Show includes many different art mediums such as jewelry, clothing, pottery, painting and sculpture and currently has over 40 participating artists and crafts people. Many favorites such as Pegasus Pottery, artist LaJuana Westerfield, Texas Prairie Pottery and Nanny's Best Goat Soap will be returning to this years show. April 8-10, 2005 - FESTIVAL - Poteet: Poteet Strawberry Festival. The Festival is recognized as the largest agricultural fete in Texas. The 95-acre site which is located on Hwy. 16, 30 minutes south of San Antonio, offers free parking, clean public restrooms, handicapped accessibility, complete RV facilities, and tent covered activities.
